Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with major South Asian telcos (Airtel, Jio, Vi, Banglalink, Jazz).
  • Map and expand accounts: navigate large, complex organizations, identify decision-makers and influencers, and drive growth opportunities.
  • Execute enterprise sales cycles end-to-end, from opportunity identification and solution pitching to closure and post-sales account management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Network, Technology, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure customer success.
  • Ensure operational oversight: structured reporting to both local leadership and Whalebone HQ.
  • Drive disciplined follow-up: keep opportunities moving with consistent and professional communication.
  • Track market intelligence: bring client and industry insights to shape strategy and identify new opportunities.

      

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within telecom carriers or external telco-facing roles.
  • Proven track record of enterprise account management and closing large, complex deals.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity solutions is desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or Hospitality Management (or equivalent).
  • Experience selling software/technology solutions to large enterprises.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional relationships within complex organizations.
  • Fluent English; Hindi or another local Indian language is a plus.
  • Organized, disciplined, and relentless in execution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a consultative selling style.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating globally.
